A traditional design of small
spokeshave, elegant but practical and perfectly balanced for
small and detailed work. Edward Preston and Sons stopped
production in the 1930s when they closed their doors. Tom Lie-Nielsen
has
given it new life by re-working this lightweight but strongly
made tool for
fine precise shaping. The body is bronze with either a flat
or a curved sole,
the A2 tool steel blade is cryogenically treated with a 25° bevel and bedded
at 40° to the sole bevel down.
Length: 170mm(6 ¾")

or curved):
16mm( ") sole (38mm(1 ½")
