This large chisel plane in
the original pattern of the No. 97 carries a good working
weight with a long bronze body to drive through flush cuts
and dry glue line
clean ups. A full width low angle blade will cut right into
the right angle of corners
but as there is nothing in front of the blade to support the
cut it is essential
to use a very fine set (to avoid ’dig-ins’) so
that the blade is effectively flush
with the sole.
Supplied in bronze body with bronze lever cap, cryogenically
treated A2 tool
steel blade, stainless steel adjuster and cherry wood knob.
