Largest of the Lie-Nielsen
Shoulder Planes the No. 073 comes with some interesting improvements
on the original design to give you better grip and a far superior
blade. The weight and size of this plane gives it a presence
and stability in work with ample bearing surfaces to hold the
line of the cut. Fine screw adjustment is provided for both
the blade and the mouth enabling you to balance the bite of
the tool for a meticulous cut. The bevel edged blade overrides
the body width of the plane by 0.12mm(.005") to ensure
a crisp take up of material in to the 90° of the joint.
Supplied with ductile iron body, A2 tool steel cryogenically
treated blade, bronze lever cap and stainless steel adjuster.
