Made to the exacting standards
of Lie-Nielsen plane blades, these bevel edge chisels have
blades treated in
the same way, A2 steel hardened to Rockwell 58-60 cryogenically
treated and double tempered. Hornbeam
handles, socket set to the blade, ensure a long hard working
life for these very handsome tools. The cutting
bevel is flat ground to 30° ready for your preferred
secondary bevel (Lie-Nielsen recommend 35° for
hardwoods). Side bevels are square and parallel with thin edges
to give maximum access. The backs are
ground flat and hand finished. Supplied with cryogenically
treated steel blades and hornbeam handles.
Available individually (see opposite) or as a five piece set
supplied in a tool roll comprising 3.2mm,
6.3mm, 9.5mm, 12.7mm and 19mm chisels.
